About Us
We produce documentary films and content about the natural world, specialising in underwater and marine storytelling.
What We Do
Grumpy Turtle Films produces documentary content about the natural world- from short-form digital series to standalone documentary films. We can develop and produce original projects or bring your existing concept to life.
Our expertise includes underwater filming in tropical and temperate environments, natural history sequences, and conservation storytelling. With over a decade of experience and broadcast credits across National Geographic, PBS, and ABC, we work on professional cinema camera systems, including RED, Sony, and Canon, both topside and underwater, using Nauticam housings.
Whether it's a 30-second social clip or a 20-minute documentary, we bring technical excellence and authentic storytelling to every project.
