The Nature Conservancy: A Tale of Two Forests

Papua New Guinea is one of the planet's most biologically and culturally diverse places. According to the Nature Conservancy (TNC), “It’s also a place where underregulated extraction industries—gas drilling, mining, logging and fishing—are beginning to pose grave threats to both the environment and traditional lifestyles that have persisted for perhaps tens of thousands of years.”

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is involved in two projects, one in an upland rainforest and the other in mangrove forests, to help the people of Papua New Guinea utilize their natural resources for a sustainable future. Our team collaborated with TNC to produce and capture footage of the ongoing work in the region, which will be used to create short films and spread awareness about the initiatives being taken in Papua New Guinea.

We organized the shoot logistics, including visas and travel arrangements. We collaborated with the Papua New Guinea team to direct interviews and capture b-roll footage.

A story on the project can be found here.
